Initial Consultation: a detailed history of the patient’s ailment will be taken in order to set a treatment plan best suited to the patient. Acupuncture treatment will be given, as well as diet and lifestyle advice to help with the healing process.
Cupping: Refers to an ancient Chinese practice in which a cup is applied to the skin so that the skin and superficial muscle layer is drawn into and held in the cup. In some cases, the cup may be moved while the suction of skin is active, causing a regional pulling of the skin and muscle. The treatment gives the tissue a deep, quick massage. It breaks down adhesions, and thus helps facilitate blood circulation. Cupping can benefit any painful congested area, bronchitis, swellings, arthritis, low backache, sprains, shoulder tension and more.
Ear Seeds: Ear acupuncture points may be stimulated for a longer period of time by using ear seeds. Ear seeds are small seeds from the Vaccaria plant. These seeds are held in place on the ear with a small piece of adhesive tape. Ear seeds may be left in the ear for a few days and can be stimulated by the patient as shown by the practitioner.
Tui Na: A deep tissue massage using different manipulations to stimulate the body energy flow.
Chinese Herbal Therapy: Many conditions can be treated with the help of Chinese herbal medicine. Our herbs are safe and effective, and come in tincture, pills or powder forms.
Chinese Food Cures: What works for one person may not for the next. Chinese food cures will help identify diet needs for each individual.
Reiki: Dr. Hyegwi Koh is pleased to offer Reiki as an add on to your Acupuncture session. Reiki is a form of energy healing from Japan. Reiki is based on the idea that we all have an unseen 'life force energy' flowing through our bodies. Reiki practitioners gently moves their hands just above or on the client’s clothed body- including the head, shoulders, stomach, and feet — and is held for roughly 3 to 10 minutes, depending on the person’s needs. Reiki can reduce stress and promote healing by encouraging a healthy flow of energy.
Facial Rejuvenation aka Cosmetic Acupuncture: is used to prevent and correct the signs of aging mostly on the face. It is a non-surgical, all natural procedure that will help rejuvenate and revitalize your skin without side effects. It helps improve blood circulation, nourish the skin, and increase collagen production to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sagging and dull skin. More than 1 treatment is required for best effects. Contact Rebecca Stephens for more information.
