Meet Dr. Samantha Petrin, ND
Dr. Samantha Petrin ND has wanted to be a doctor for as long as she can remember. Before she knew what Naturopathic Medicine was, she knew that she wanted to do medicine differently. She wanted to spend more time with patients, getting to know them and talking about their mental health, which she believes is too commonly unacknowledged. She wanted to educate her patients on the power of the mind body connection. When she discovered that Naturopathic Medicine did this and more, she was thrilled and dove all in.
After achieving her BSc in Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University, she went on to complete the Naturopathic Medical Program at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. There she learned holistic primary care medicine rooted in treating the whole person, identifying the root cause of disease, focusing on prevention, patient education and honouring the healing power of nature.
She is fascinated by the mental emotional body and its innate wisdom. She is continuing to learn somatic based counselling practices and implement them in her patient visits. She runs a general practice, but is particularly excited when helping patients with anxiety, acne concerns, digestive issues and stress management.
Outside of the clinic she enjoys intuitive dance, breath work, meditation, and listening to the calming waves at the beach.
Her scope of practice includes
Clinical nutrition | Lifestyle counselling | Botanical medicine | Physical Examinations Physical Medicine | Acupuncture | Laboratory & Diagnostic testing
